Every lesson in the AP Physics C: Mechanics slide course, in full text: 4 decks, 253 slides.
Unit 1 - KinematicsPosition, velocity and acceleration as derivatives and integrals: the calculus ladder, deriving the constant-acceleration equations, motion graphs as slopes and areas, projectile and relative motion, and the non-constant-acceleration techniques (separation of variables and v dv/dx) that separate Physics C from Physics 1.
Unit 2 - Force and Translational DynamicsNewton's three laws and the free-body diagram: inertial frames, third-law pairs, tilted axes on inclines, the normal force as an unknown, static versus kinetic friction, connected bodies and internal forces, uniform circular motion as a second-law problem, and velocity-dependent drag solved as a differential equation.
Unit 3 - Work, Energy, and PowerWork as a dot product and as an integral, the work-energy theorem derived from v dv/dx, conservative forces and why only they have a potential energy, conservation of mechanical energy with and without friction, potential energy diagrams and stability, force as minus the gradient of the potential, and power as force dotted with velocity.
Unit 4 - Linear MomentumImpulse as the time integral of force, why momentum is conserved whenever the external forces vanish, elastic and inelastic collisions including the relative-velocity rule, two-dimensional collisions component by component, the centre of mass by summation and integration, and the variable-mass problems where F = ma fails.
