Who This Page Is For
Adult learners coming back to school
You've been away from formal math for years, maybe decades. We rebuild from where you are. No quizzes, no judgment.
Students who failed once and need to retake
You know roughly what tripped you up. We focus on those exact areas instead of redoing everything.
Students working through HiSET / TASC too
The other high school equivalency tests cover similar topics. Most of our prep transfers directly.

How I'd Walk You Through a Percent Word Problem
- Find the discount amount. 25% of 80 is 0.25 × 80 = 20. The discount saves $20.
- Find the sale price. 80 − 20 = 60. The jacket costs $60 before tax.
- Find the tax amount. 8% of 60 is 0.08 × 60 = 4.80. Tax adds $4.80.
- Find the final price. 60 + 4.80 = $64.80.
- Shortcut for repeat problems. "25% off" means you pay 75% (multiplier 0.75). Adding 8% tax means multiplying by 1.08. So: 80 × 0.75 × 1.08 = $64.80. Same answer, way faster.
FAQ
What does the GED Math test cover?
The GED Mathematical Reasoning test covers quantitative problem solving (numbers and operations, ratios and proportions, percents, data interpretation) and algebraic problem solving (expressions, equations, functions, graphs, and basic geometry).
How long does it take to prep for the GED Math?
It depends on your starting point. Most students see noticeable improvement in 6 to 12 focused sessions. If you've been out of school for years, we start with the foundations and build up.
What if I haven't done math in a long time?
That's common and completely fine. We start with whatever you remember, identify the gaps, and rebuild without judgment. The GED is passable with focused prep.
Do you provide practice tests?
Yes. We use official GED-style practice questions and the free practice tools on this site to track progress.
